Important Ayats of the Quran
Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.
For indeed, with hardship will be ease. Indeed, with hardship will be ease.
Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your full compensation on the Day of Resurrection.
Say: O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear.
Islamic Topics
☪ Tawheed — The Oneness of Allah
Qul Huwa Allāhu Aḥad. Allāhu-ṣ-Ṣamad. Lam yalid wa lam yūlad. Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan aḥad.
Tawheed is the foundation of Islam — the absolute belief in the Oneness of Allah ﷻ. It means affirming that Allah alone is worthy of worship, that He has no partners, no children, and nothing resembles Him. Surah Al-Ikhlas encapsulates the pure monotheism of Islam in four powerful verses.
The three categories of Tawheed are: Tawheed ar-Rububiyyah (Oneness of Lordship), Tawheed al-Uluhiyyah (Oneness of Worship), and Tawheed al-Asma was-Sifat (Oneness of Names and Attributes).
🕌 Salah — The Five Daily Prayers
Innaṣ-ṣalāta kānat ‘alal-mu’minīna kitāban mawqūtā” — An-Nisa 4:103
Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times. The five daily prayers are Fajr (dawn), Dhuhr (midday), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (sunset), and Isha (night). Salah is the second pillar of Islam and the direct connection between the believer and Allah ﷻ.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The first matter that the slave will be brought to account for on the Day of Judgement is the prayer.” — Sahih At-Tirmidhi
🌙 Sawm — Fasting in Ramadan
O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you — that you may become righteous. — Al-Baqarah 2:183
Fasting in the month of Ramadan is the fourth pillar of Islam. Muslims abstain from food, drink, and other prohibitions from Fajr to Maghrib. It is a month of immense spiritual rewards, culminating in Laylat al-Qadr, the Night of Power, which is better than a thousand months.
💛 Zakat — Obligatory Charity
Establish prayer and give Zakat and bow with those who bow. — Al-Baqarah 2:43
Zakat is the third pillar of Islam — an obligatory form of almsgiving calculated at 2.5% of savings held above the Nisab threshold for one lunar year. It purifies wealth and ensures economic justice within the Muslim community. Zakat is distributed to eight categories of recipients defined in Surah At-Tawbah (9:60).
🕋 Hajj — The Sacred Pilgrimage
And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House — for whoever is able to find thereto a way. — Al-Imran 3:97
Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, obligatory once in a lifetime for every Muslim who is physically and financially able. Performed in Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims travel to Makkah, perform Tawaf around the Kaaba, stand at Arafat, and complete the rites over five days. Hajj symbolises unity, equality, and submission to Allah.
📖 The Holy Quran
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Quran and indeed, We will be its guardian. — Al-Hijr 15:9
The Quran is the final, unaltered word of Allah ﷻ revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through Angel Jibreel over 23 years. It contains 114 Surahs, 6,236 verses, and remains perfectly preserved since its revelation. It is a guide, healing, and mercy for all of mankind until the Day of Judgement.
📜 The Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ
There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern. — Al-Ahzab 33:21
The Sunnah comprises the sayings (Hadith), actions, and silent approvals of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is the second primary source of Islamic law after the Quran. The six major Hadith collections (Kutub Al-Sittah) include Sahih Al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, Jami’ At-Tirmidhi, Sunan An-Nasa’i, and Sunan Ibn Majah.
🌹 Akhlaq — Islamic Character & Ethics
And indeed, you are of a great moral character. — Al-Qalam 68:4
Islamic ethics (Akhlaq) encompasses honesty, patience, gratitude, humility, kindness, and justice. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best among you are those who have the best manners and character.” — Sahih Al-Bukhari. Good character is a reflection of true faith, and the heaviest thing on the scales on the Day of Judgement is beautiful conduct.
⚖️ Akhirah — The Hereafter
And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion. — Al-Imran 3:185
Belief in the Hereafter (Akhirah) is one of the six pillars of Iman. It encompasses death, the questioning in the grave, the Day of Resurrection, the gathering on the Plain of Mahshar, the weighing of deeds (Mizan), the bridge (Sirat), and the eternal abodes of Jannah and Jahannam. This life is preparation for eternal life.
✨ Dhikr — Remembrance of Allah
Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest. — Ar-Ra’d 13:28
Dhikr is the continuous remembrance of Allah through words, heart, and actions. Recommended daily adhkar include SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah), Alhamdulillah (All praise is for Allah), Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest), and La ilaha illAllah (There is no god but Allah). The Prophet ﷺ recommended reciting each 33 times after every Salah.
